I Scream, You Scream Card

I just got the new stamp set, Kids Incorporated from Scrappy Moms Stamps and I wanted to play with them right away. I bought these stamps (my first from Scrappy Moms) because I loved how the fun sayings are all related to kids, but could be used for so many other reasons as well. I did not know what I wanted to create with these cute stamps first so I headed to my Challenge Tracker notebook to get ideas. I decided to work with two weekly challenges to create a fun card and use one of my new stamps.
The first challenge I got inspiration from is the Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge, this week at More Than Favors. The cartridge selected was Stretch Your Imagination. This is one of the first carts I ever got. When I got it I made my birthday party invites with it and it has been used very little since.  I picked the ice cream cone off this cartridge to meet the challenge requirement and it guided my stamp selection. The backing cut the stamp is on is also from Stretch Your Imagination.

The second challenge that helped me out is at Cupcake Crafts. This week the challenge is to use Pink and Polka Dots. I am not really a pink girl myself, but for this card it was the perfect color choice and I love polka dots. I embossed the pink background paper with polka dots to meet both the requirements for the challenge.

I was careful with my new stamp (I am still very new to using stamps) and measured my cuts and stamp twice to make sure it would fit. This fun stamp, "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!" is just super cute and I am so excited to play with the whole stamp set more.

I cut the card using Just Because Cards, embossed the ice cream part and added small white hash marks on the cones. I used some craft dots to help lift the cones a little bit off the page. When I was done putting it all together I still felt it was missing something. I was thinking about what to add and started putting my stamps away. The Scrappy Moms Stamps came wrap in this wonderful pink ribbon...which made its way right onto my card.
