Tall Card Challenge Birthday Card

This week at Cricut Cardz Challenge the challenge is to create a tall card (9x4). You can use any design, color or theme you wish but it had to be this larger format card.I had never made a card this size so I thought it was a good challenge for me. I had to break out my 12x24 mat for the first time and was happy to discover it was easy to use in the space I have my Expression.

This is just a simple birthday card that I know I will be able to use soon (a lot of birthday parties coming up). One of the Cricut circle members posted a challenge on the boards so I can enter this card in two challenges.

Inside view: repeats the blue embossed with cupcakes and another Yummy cupcake.
I used my Imagine and cut out the three cupcakes from the Yummy cartridge. I cut "Sweet Treats" with Alphalicious and the card was a simple cut from Wild Card after adjustments with my Gypsy. I wanted to add some extra layers with a little something more so I embossed the blue using a folder from the Once Upon a Princess set and the pink back layer is embossed with D'Vine Swirls (a favorite of mine). I am in love with my Cuttlebug and so happy I broke down and bought one.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.
