The Cricut Circle Blog is sponsoring a fun filled week of challenges to celebrate it's one year anniversary and each challenge has a fantastic prize for the randomly selected winner. The challenge posted on October 6 is all about using your Imagine. I just got my replacement Imagine machine and have not had a chance to use it so it was a great opportunity to make something fun.
For the challenge you had to:
1. Print a background using your Imagine
2. Use all the layers of an image on your project as well.
I pulled out my Best Friends Imagine cartridge to see what I would be inspired to create and found the sweet "10 Things I Love About You" image. I decided to print out those layers (as well as a different colored head re-sized to match my daughter's hair) and use them as my starting point for my project.
Next I selected my background paper and printed it out. From there I knew what I wanted to created.
I got out the new Close to My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge and selected the cute heart tags. I cut out... you guessed it 10 tags using different colors from the Best Friends cartridge to fill each one.
I picked 10 of the millions of things I love about my daughter and wrote them on the tags before I attached them to the background using some little diamond brads.
When I gave it to my daughter and read each item to her she did each one...super cute to have her make up a song about her gift right on the spot. Now it is hanging next to her bed. I love when I get inspiration form challenges. I hope to complete a few more of the challenges before they close.
Two more things...lucky for me this fun wall hanging works for the new challenge on the new challenge blog Exploring Cricut. This week they are using the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge in their first ever challenge. I am happy to be part of this new fun spot on their first week. I also am adding this to the Monday Link-Up Party at You Had Me At Craft. The link for this weekly fun is on the right!
How adorable! I just love all the little things you wrote on the tags!!
