Engagement Card

Good evening everyone. I hope you are all getting settled into a wonderful weekend. Now that I am officially through my school year I am looking forward to getting some fun projects completed. The first was this cute engagement card for my cousin, whose boyfriend popped the question just last week!!

I went to my current favorite stack, DCWV Spring Fling and picked out some fun papers to use on the card. I knew I wanted to have a fun bow on the cover so I trimmed 3 pieces of the butterfly paper and used it as a layer on the card, which allowed me to cover the ribbon up on the back.
I selected the ring box cut off Sweethearts and went to work cutting the image...love this glitter paper for the diamond part.
Finally, I added "congratulations" also cut off of Sweethearts, to the inside of the card. It did not stick out the way I was hoping it would so I traced the edges with a darker pink marker and actually did not have any stray marks or mistakes...always a bonus.
Enjoy your weekend. I have a few projects on my to do list including end of the year gifts for teachers and a fun summer idea for my daughter.  Hopefully I will share those both with you soon.
