World's Greatest Dad Card

Father's Day is next week and that means getting cards made for all the wonderful fathers in my life. I can count on my daughter to make her own most of the time, but I always try and make one for her Dad, my Dad and my father-in-law.
This is another project using my new Silhouette Cameo and I am getting used to it. For my birthday, my daughter got me the upgraded Designer Edition software which allows you to pull in svg files and cut them with your Silhouette machine. WOW!!  A whole new world has been opened to me now. I got this 3 piece, "Worlds Greatest Dad" file for free from The Lady Wolf and it cut like a dream.

I cut the base card smaller than the image so it would stick out and I really like the look it gives. I embossed the white layer with some polka dots before using large glue dots to put my image on. It sticks up just right.
On the inside, I pulled out the Artisan Tags set from Pink By Design and stamped a simple inside message and beer mug. I also found these simple heart buttons and decided to add on on the inside as well. I just used a needle and floss and poked it into the white layer. I tied the back in a small knot before gluing the layer down.  I put my glue right over the knot so it would not easily come out.  One simple and fun Father's day card done!!  Have a great weekend.
