A good friend and co-worker's son is getting married this weekend. For weeks I have been joking with her about becoming a Monster-in-Law so I thought I would make her a fun card for Monday when she returns to work officially a "Monster-in-law!"
I started with a this new sketch for the Cricut FANatics blog Sketch Challenge #2. Next, I got buy selecting the perfect monster to put on my card. My current obsession with my Mini-Monsters cartridge continues on for this adorable creature (page 33)

I am also using this card for the My Craft Spot: Monday Challenge: Emboss it, so I use my fun Tiny Bubbles folder to push bubbles into the green body. I think you can see I just made sure that the raised layers on the folder were going into the body instead of pushing up into her. I love how doing this looks on cuts.
I added the finished monster on top of a simple card made with DCWV papers  (Bewitched Stack) to match the sketch as close as I could, minus the journal box for layouts. I than added a cute title (also without a box) and the look was almost done.
I added a fun polka dotted ribbon to the whole card, some solid colored card stock inside for my message and yeah a fun treat for a great person. So excited about this card being in 3 challenges this week...look below. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
