Pretzel Twist

I know a lot of crafters who have switched from one cutting machine to a new one and got rid of all their old stuff, but I also know a lot who work with more than one cutting machine and, like me, have found this to be a great twist and benefit in their crafting. I love that I can use both my Cricut and Silhouette Cameo to create fun projects like this layout from a Disney Word trip.
For this layout I started with creating my own paper. I had a solid base and added strips of yellow before I added the best touch, fun strips of Trendy Tape with a Disney theme.
Next, I matched the font from the tape to one I was so sure I had on my computer, Wish I were Taller. I cut the letters with my Cameo (love using any font I want with the Cameo).
You can get the font Wish I were Taller at kevinandamanda.com
Next, I cut out the matching icons for the pants, glove, bow and shoe from the Mickey & Friends Cricut Cartridge.
I have so many carts that getting rid of them when I got my Cameo would have been like starting over. I know most people can not afford that...even if they got lucky selling their old stuff. I am super happy to have both machines working together.  I just wanted to show how they work together. Have a wonderful week. I hope you find time to get crafty.

  1. Great layout. I have too many cartridges too for my Cricut. Can't justify the Cameo yet when I've barely used what I have. TFS.

  3. This is such a sweet LO-- perfect with your photos! Love that you made the paper! And...I love that you found a way to use all the resources at your hands to make it perfect! That 'Wish I Were Taller' font is not just cute and I love the name too! Haha It is a PERFECT match to that tape-- Wow!

I'm like Jenny-- I like my stuff and I am keeping it! :)

    1. I meant 'just too cute' not 'not just cute'. I need to proofread better! (sorry!!)
