Ray of Sunshine!

Good morning! I hope the sun is shining where ever you are! I feel like we waited a long time to get the warm weather this year, here in Illinois, but I am glad it has arrived. Today I want to share a layout I made to look like rays of sunshine. I have seen this kind of design on cards and layouts and wanted to give it a try.

I started by picking my papers, some orange and yellow patterns from The Paper Studio basics stack. I layered them the way I wanted and worked on adhering them together. I trimmed away the extras and secured the paper a little more. All that was left to create the sunburst look was adding the photo.
Of course it wasn't quite complete until I cut out the fun swirls from Cricut American Alphabet and added them to the mix with a simple title I cut with Hello Kitty Font. A touch of orange peel and yellow Stickles (okay maybe more than a touch) and I was happy. I had a layout showcasing the fun banner my daughter and I made last summer to welcome our guest.
I also have a project that uses the Stickles color of choice right now at All  That Stickles: Yellow!! I will be linking this layout up with them this week. Hope you are having a wonderful week.

  2. Beautiful LO! I love how you pieced the papers together! The stickled flourishes really add a lot to the LO and make it look super sunny! Thanks for joining All that Stickles yellow linky party!!
