Summer Treats

Who doesn't love a good summer treat: ice cream, Popsicle, fresh fruit...all so yummy. Well this week that is the challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas: Use a summer treat on your projects.
I wanted to do a fun layout for this project and these photos of my daughter and her uncle making a frozen treat together were just right.  I  found this great title cut in the 50 cents section of Miss Kate Cuttables and it was just what I needed.  I added a little glossy accent to the leaves.
I used papers from the original Citrus Stack by DCWV. If you haven;t seen they have redone this stack with new patterns, but same color scheme. I decided to try using some burlap on this layout as well.  After piecing the papers together I add a layer before putting my photo and title on.
I also added a simple tag (Birthday Bash) and these fun orange slices using a Recollections Stamp. I used my stamp markers and stamped them on scrap paper before stamping the page..for a more soft color.
What is your favorite summer treat?  For me it is all about the ice cream. I hope you will join us this week for our fun challenge. Head over and see what the other Divas have created.  Make sure to try and leave them some love on their personal blogs if you get a chance.
