Owl you Doin'?

Hello everyone. Hope your doin' well!! Today I am sharing a card I made last week.

This card started with some left over paper. I make a lot of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 cards.  In order to create a base I often use an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. I score my paper before I trim it to the size I want and I am left with a smaller folded piece. Now I know how to use those as well.
I used my ATG gun to link the pieces together and than wrapped some washi tape around it to  cover my seems. I great card base using the scraps I was leaving behind. This is a great way to make a two tone card as you can use  two different colors if you want. (So wondering why I never thought of this before!!)
Once I had my base I created my fun owl. He is from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Lil' Hoot collection. I love how her files cut in my Cameo. If you have never used her files it is super easy.
- Open the svg file in Silhouette Studio
- Click on the  file & click on the Modify menu (gray square with blue M).
- Click on Subtract. Arrange your pieces and paper.
- Add cut lines to your pieces using the Cut Style tool (scissors)
Once you separate the file you can place
different sections on the mat anywhere you want.
It is that easy.  When you buy Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon flies you also get a file you can print and cut if you do not want to use the paper piecing. I added some Glossy Accents and a wobble to my cute owl before this card was complete.
The final touch was a Pink By Design stamp form a set that Lisa Norris (PPPR) also designed, Chick with Brain. Thanks for visiting today.
