Let's Get Fit!!

This week at Die Cuttin' Divas the challenge is ANYTHING GOES! We want to see what you are creating using die cuts. I made myself this fit journal to help me record my anything goes policy towards exercise.

I decided I needed a way to record what my weekly goals were for exercise and track what I was doing plus my weight loss. I created this simple chart on my computer then printed them out before cutting them apart. There is a space for my weekly goals (can not see in these photos) as well as a place for each days activities.

I used my Cinch and bound the pages together between two pieces of cardboard that I covered with paper.
I cut out a swimmer (form the Silhouette Store) and the words GET FIT using my Cameo. The font is called Essence. I put them onto my cover to finish it off. Now I can record any exercise I complete each day. On the 17 day Diet you are supposed to do 17 minutes of exercise each day during the first 2 cycles.  I record what I do each day.   I am doing pretty good so far. Down 10 pounds since my restart!!

Now go on to Die Cuttin' Divas and submit your Anything Goes project with us. Have a great week.

A Little Gossip...about Paper Playtimes New Challenge

Happy Day to all. It is the start of a brand new challenge over at Paper Playtime. This challenge is all about embossing: wet or dry. I decided to work with more than one embossing folder to create this card.
I was inspired by the new washi tapes I just got at Michael's to put this one together. I selected the papers to go with some of the tapes and cut the paper to get ready for embossing. I used two Cuttlebug folders (polka dots and one from the decorative tile set) and than placed them together on a base before layering the washi tape on top.
I created the same layers on the inside of this card as well. Next, I used a cutting file from Lisa Norris at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons to make two scallop circles.  I added this silly and fun stamp form the Pink By Design, Days Like This set. I even inked around the scallop edges to make them pop up a little more.
I finished up the card and got it ready to  mail off to a new friend in California.  I decided to add a little washi tape to the envelope as well just for fun. I hope you get to join us for this challenge. You have 2 weeks! Make sure to check out the rest of the Design Teams's inspiration.

Home Improvement Layout

Okay so I may have fooled you a little with the title, but building a gingerbread house can involve a lot of work and repairs if things do not go on just right.
This scrapbook layout is all about making Gingerbread house. I used the fun Gingerbread seasonal cartridge to create this fun set of houses and Mickey Font for the title.  I thought it was a perfect title for our building a few years back.
My daughter's birthday cake had all these princesses on it so they made the perfect addition to our Gingerbread village. The fun washi tape is from a Martha Stewart collection. I hope nobody is having to do too much home repair right now. All the news about floods and high winds lately has been awful. This lovely Saturday is all about getting projects for the upcoming chef party completed. Hope to share soon.

Geek Out!

I am so in love with the Teddy Bear Parade Cartridge.  I bought this with some store credit as a digital download and it is just so much fun to make fun bears with it.  I made this card in February and totally forgot to share it.

I started with the adorable school girl uniform but instead of the apple I added the computer to her hand because I sent this card to a friend who works with computers. I gave her glasses and hair bow a  little touch of silver Stickles. These bears are so simple to put together.
I placed her on this fun embossed background (Traffic Jam Cuttlebug folder) and instead of leaving the card a simple rectangle I rounded the top. I than added two fun stamps from the Chick with Brains set from Pink By Design.
The outside, "Talk Nerdy to Me" and on the inside, "Chick with Brains. This stamp set was designed by Lisa Norris for Pink By Design and is so much fun. What fun right?  Hope you are having a great week. Friday is just a day away and the weekend is calling.

Flowers with Die Cuttin' Divas

Happy Tuesday everyone. Today at Die Cuttin' Divas it is all about flowers. We want to see your projects featuring flowers. For my project I created another one of the frames I love giving people. The flowers are cut on my Silhouette and were created by Lori Whitlock.
I used papers from the Basic Grey, Fiction stack. These papers are double sided so they work well for making my flowers as the backs are not plain.  The first step is covering the frame with paper. I use the red sticky tape for this as it sticks the best. Next, I add ribbon to cover the edges.
Next, you have to cut the different petals and layer them together with a leaf onto a brad. I never thought I would be able to do this, but it feels sort of easy now.
The final touch for me is always a sentiment stamp. This is one I use all the time for frames from the Just Breathe set from Pink By Design. I have created a few frames with this stamp on it because it just seems the best one for photos.
Thanks for stopping by today. Head over to Die Cuttin Divas and show us you masterpieces this week. Anything Goes! You can see more of my frames on this post HERE or HERE.

Car Decals Cards

Good Day all! Today is my posting day with Cricut FANatics. Today I have two cards that are simple to make and use the cartridge, Car Decals.
I played around and enjoyed my growing collection of decorative tapes on the backgrounds and insides and added the fun images right on top.
I love this cart because it has a variety of images (including some very random ones) and a great font.  It originally was only offered at cricutmachine.com, but you can get the digital download at Cricut.com for under $30. You can see more photos of my cards at Cricut FANatics.

Sophie's Kitchen: Party Invites

My daughter will be turning 7 in less than a month and we are right in the middle of planning her party. She has decided to have a Chef party! Here are the invites that I made and sent out to her friends.
She wanted two things for this invite: a chef that looked like her and a recipe card.  I started with the little chefs using Everyday Paper dolls to create them. I used a Peachy Keen face stamp, a bullet point dabber and some light pink ink to create the faces (not bad for my first try!!)
After piecing my dolls together, I worked on the "recipe" with a bunch of help from Pinterest. I just took the things I liked best and created the recipe for a great birthday. The invites are sent and the guest list filling up. My daughter is super excited. There is sure to be more crafts to share as we get closer and closer.

Cookie Time

Girl Scout Cookie Season is over and it was a very successful one for my daughter's troop. For my daughter's cookies I made these little tags to put on the cookies people ordered from her.
This gave me a chance to play with the print and cut features on my Cameo.  Pretty awesome. I found this trefoil, and added the words.  All I had to do, was add the cut lines before printing & cutting. Sophie signed her name to the back of each tag before we tied them to the cookies.
I also got to help out with the cookie booth banner. The troop leaders asked if I could cut some things out for them. I cut letters and shapes and sent them off to a meeting and they created this great banner to display.
Some of the troop members at booth sales.
The troop sold about 3,000 boxes of cookies between the individual and booth sales.  Not to bad!!

All-Star Music

It is an All -Star Day! The All-stars on the Die Cuttin' Divas Design Team are pleased to offer a new challenge today: In honor of Astronomy Day (April 20) - we would like you to use a star on your project!
I decided to create a layout from our last Disney Trip when we stayed at the All-Star Music Resort.  What a fun place, with giant jute boxes and music notes decorating the whole place and a fun piano shaped pool.  I started with this great glittered yellow paper and using my Cricut and Gypsy cut stars on the top and bottom on the page.
Next, I filled the empty stars in with some red embossed paper thanks to this great folder from The Paper Studio.

I added a large blue block for my photos and than cut out the logo for the hotel to add to the page as a mirror for my journaling circle.
This trip's album is almost finished (good thing seeing as we go again in December!) I hope you can think of a sun star shaped project to create for the challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas this week.  make sure to head over and see the prize we are offering and the other great projects the DT has created for inspiration.

Wobble Box

Where do you keep your Action Wobbles? When I first bought some of these I wanted to have a place for them so I made a little box to put them in. I realized I never shared it.
All I did was make a box using the All Wrapped Up Imagine cartridge and added a simple circle with a W cut form Elmo's Party.  Of course it had to wobble.
I have used only a few of these fun stick on springs and love them.  I see the box on my work space and am trying to remember to use them more. Hope everyone has a great Saturday.

So fun that this project can be added to the current Wobble Challenge going on at Action Wobbles: Make a 3D project!

No Cricut Thursday: Geo Flower

Welcome to another addition of No Cricut Thursday. Today I have a card I made that started with the Cuttlebug Honeycomb embossing folder.
I embossed the brown craft paper and then used a Creative Memories punch to created a bunch of hexagons that I then placed together as a flower. I cut some of the punched pieces and created a stem and leaf.

On the inside, I added some loose hexagons and a fun stamp from Pink By Design's Life is Garden set. Just a fun card made with my other crafting supplies!! Have a wonderful day!

Look Out Puddles!

Have you ever had one of those days when you felt the whole world was against you? On these days I always want it to rain so I can stomp through the puddles and that is what inspired this week's card for Die Cuttin' Divas pastel colors challenge.
I gathered some pastel colored card stock from my stash of papers and while thinking of how to create my card I discovered the answer in how I was looking at them. I adhered the different blocks together with my ATG gun and then cut the umbrella girl out from A Child's Year to layer on top.
Once she was layered and trimmed I added her to a card base and added two simple touches to the final card: white ribbon and a simple sentiment that I hand wrote, "Watch Out Puddles!"
I love how it looks and on the day I created this card it matched my mood and managed to cheer me up a little, funny how that works.

Now, it is your turn to create a project using pastel colors. head over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see the fun projects the DT made and then create your own. Our sponsor for the next two weeks is The Twinery!!
