Die Cuttin' Divas - First Sketch of the Year

Welcome everyone!  It is a brand new year with Die Cuttin' Divas, weekly challenge blog. I have enjoyed being a Diva for over a year now and am so excited to be staying with the team. We have a wonderful line up of challenges coming to you this year. Each month our first challenge is usually a sketch challenge. Let's get this new year started.
I created this card using our great and simple sketch by Carson's Creations - only I turned in on its side.
I have been enjoying the print and cut feature of my Cricut Explore more and more with all the Imagine carts I have that now work with it. I printed off a few and found this one was just right for this sketch.
I played with one of my favorite things - washi tape, to create the main stripe in the back and added a little embossed layer around my oval. One of the best things about a sketch is the ability to play around and make it your own.
I decided to carry the washi tape onto the inside of the card as well to finish off the overall look.
I hope you will head over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see what the other DT members have created with this sketch and gather some inspiration for your own creations this week. We offer a prize to one random winner every other week. Just remember you project must include at least one die cut!

Supplies:
- Word of Mouth Cricut Cartridge - mistake image print & cut.
- Decorative Tile embossing folder set by Cuttlebug
- WeRMemory Keepers washi tapes

  5. This card is awesome. I don't use washi tape much, but I like the idea of using it on the inside to coordinate it all together.
