Igor Wishes you a Happy Halloween

It is time for Die Cuttin' Divas to jump into the Halloween celebrations. This week we want  to see your Halloween die cut projects.
I love this little Igor character and knew he needed a card this year. I cut him and the lettering from A Frightful Affair Cricut Collection. Once I had him all cut out he needed something so i added the embossing behind him and a little touch of sparkle in the lantern.
I love when you add simple touches to complete your look. I hope you are getting all your Halloween projects ready for your celebrations. Thank for visiting with me and I hope you can join in at Die Cuttin' Divas this week.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Die Cuttin' Divas

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so Die Cuttin' Divas wanted to get in on the celebration of all the amazing fighters and survivors.
I found this wonderful saying and knew it would be a perfect card for one survivor I know. I added to this pennant shape and used print and cut to get it just right.  The border was added after printing.

I also print and cut the oval in the back after filling in with a pattern in Cricut Design Space. Now I can salute a hero who just finished her treatment. Hope you can join us this week  at DCD.

Supplies:
- Pink Journey Cricut Cartridge - ribbon
- Pretty Pennants Cricut Cartridge - pennant with border
- Bubblegum Stripe polka dot pattern fill
- Cotton Candy Stickles.

October mean Halloween and Halloween makes us all think of treats - like DESSERT!!!  This week at Die Cuttin' Divas we are all about dessert!!  I decided to make some lunch box cards that are just so sweet.
My daughter not only gets a packed lunch but a dinner some nights with her dance schedule so these are just fun add ons to her dance dinners.
I used a few different print and cut shapes and patterns to create these fun cards and mixed in some standard die cuts as well.
I even added a wobble so it could dance around for her.  I hope you get a chance to join us this week at DCD and maybe treat yourself to a little dessert (every night if you want!!)

Movie Fun with Bitten By the Bug 2

Happy Monday everyone.  It is my week to host the challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2 and I discovered it was National Popcorn Month sand what goes best with popcorn?  Movie Night of course. This week at BBTB2 we want to see your Movie themed projects (movie night or something inspired by your favorite movie!)
I made this card for my shining star. I played around and added her name on the star before printing it and then I cut the rest of the shapes as is.
I was really happy with the way the print and cut matched up the letters to my yellow card base. I cut a bunch of other stars to add to my card.  I wanted the black tile and stars to look how it looks on the Hollywood Walk of fame so I added some sparkle to give that extra touch.
In the end a super fun card. I hope you will get to play along with us at Bitten By the Bug 2. This is my last time hosting a challenge with them as I have decided to only focus on one design team (starting in November) while I am in school once again. It has been so much fun being part of this team.

Supplies:
- Movie Night Cricut Collection - walk of fame star
- Sheer Shimmer Spritz by Tsukineko

Attitude is Everything - A Sketch Challenge with Die Cuttin' Divas

Welcome to October and the first challenge of the month with Die Cuttin' Divas.  We have a great sketch to play with this week.
I decided to flip the sketch on it's side and make a fun card for my dancing daughter. I planned everything I wanted  to do in Cricut Design Space before I used the print and cut feature to create some of the pieces.
For the small circles on the sketch I decided to cut them right into my backing layer rather than add anything on top.
The final touch was the sentiment to remind her to keep working hard this season on her dancing. She is at the studio 5 days a week and it shows in the improvements she is making, but something she needs to be reminded to have fun as well.
I hope you can play along with us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week. Remember to  enjoy the new season around you as well.

Supplies:
- Shall We Dance Cricut Cartridge - dancer (modified the hair)
- K Andrew Designs - Postive Thoughts stamps set
- Black and White polka dots printed pattern in Design Space
- Cuttlebug 5x7 dots embossing folder.
