It Will Heal

This week at Die Cuttin' Divas we are thinking about doctors and getting well.  The timing is right for this card I recently made a friend.
A little heartache can hurt a long time and she needed a pick-me-up so I created this healing heart card just for her. I started with a simple background and printed on my sentiment.  I cut the broken heart and band aid to layer over.
Hopefully a simple reminder will help her heal a little faster and hopefully you can take part in Die Cuttin' Divas Get well/doctor challenge this week.

Supplies:
- Dr. Checkup Cricut Cartridge - broken heart and band aid with heart

How Does your Garden Grow?

The spring weather is coming (finally) and that means flowers are starting to bloom all around.  This week at Bitten By the Bug 2 we want to see your projects featuring those spring bulb flowers.
This adorable photo is from several years ago when my little one who is now almost 10 was just 2. The tulips were in bloom at our local breakfast restaurant and she had on the just right outfit and now it has a just right scrapbook layout to match it.
I created a field of tulips to set the photo in and this adorable sentiment just matched the overall look I wanted. A little touch of Stickles and my garden was ready.
For this layout I really used Design Studio  to lay everything out.  I added in and shaped squares to be my photo and background layers and adjusted everything around those sizes. I love doing this when building layouts. I just wanted the right thing for this cutie.  Have a great week.  hope you can join in with us at Bitten By the Bug 2.

Get a Clue with Die Cuttin' Divas

It is a total mystery this week at Die Cuttin' Divas. Nothing has gone missing (okay maybe some money which was clearly spent at a craft store) but we want to see fun mystery/detective themed projects. What a great theme right?
I was brainstorming and came across this bird detective so I went with it and the matching sentiment. He came out very very bright colored when all was said and done.
I wanted him to have some sparkle and shine so I filled the magnifying glasses with some Glossy Accents and add some Stickles to some edges as well. I love how it turned out and hope to have an occasion to send it to a friend soon.
I also hope you can join us this week at Die Cuttin' Divas and our mystery/detective challenge.

Supplies:
- Animal Antics Cricut Cartridge - bird detective and sentiment
- Argyle Embossing Folder
- Stickles - Silver

Sketch Tuesday with Die Cuttin' Divas

Welcome to a new sketch Tuesday with Die Cuttin' Divas.  The first Tuesday usually brings a new sketch to play with and today is nothing new.
I have to admit that for my project  I look a lot of liberties with the sketch.  First I smashed it into a square to work for my project and than I got rid of the circle around my image...But in theory it is still living up to the sketch - what do you think?
These cards (all 45 that I made) were for my daughter's first dance competition this weekend. I print and cut the cards with the logo form the competition and added on washi tape and hand drawn starts for the base.
The purple dancer was added on top to finalize the package.  Each tag was attached to some Goldfish snacks for the girls while they waited between routines. It was a long and fun weekend. First one done on to the next this weekend.

Hope you can play along with at and our sketch challenge this week.

Supplies:
- Shall We Dance Cricut cartridge - ballerina
- We R Memory Keepers washi tapes
