Coffee Break

I have been away for too long.  Okay it has only been a few weeks, but my crafting juices are flowing and I can not wait to get back to creating.  The end of the school year has been very busy for me so I needed to step back, but next week I will be back sharing projects for both the design teams I am a part of as well as new projects I have plans for as well.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day all!.

Say Cheese with Bitten by the Bug 2

This week was my week at Bitten By the Bug 2 and I totally forgot to post my project to my own blog...The challenge I selected was due to the fact that May is National Photograph month so I wanted to see projects with a camera on them.
I made this fun 4x4 square for a page of my Disney album. I combined a bunch of wonderful cuts including this fun camera cut on the Formal Occasion cartridge.
It has a few layers and looks great.  I was really happy with this center square.  the page is one of the last ones in our album from our holiday trip a few years back and all the cute shots that did not have a home elsewhere.
I know I am late the party but I hope you might get a chance this weekend to join in our challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2.

May Sketch with Die Cuttin' Divas.

Good day everyone!  It is the first Tuesday of May and that means it is time for a new sketch challenge with Die Cuttin' Divas.
This fun sketch was one I thought needed to be turn on its side. Once I did that I had a great idea to make a fun dance card.
I love this cut and use if for a lot of my dance creations (so never thought I would have a lot of them but with a dancing daughter I get so much fun making dance gifts and cards.)
Once I had the cut done and had my papers selected I was looking for a finishing touch and that is when I got  the idea to eave the ribbon into the dancers for a little something extra. Different and fun.
Here is my dancing girl at her first competition. Now there is only one more to go this year.  It has been such a fun first year on dance team for her. Hope you can join in our fun sketch challenge this week at DCD.

Supplies:
- Wall Decor and More Cricut cartridge - dancers
- Pink By Design Capture Life stamp  set.
- Sketch by Carson's Creations.

Mother's Day with Bitten By the Bug 2

Mother's Day is coming right around the corner so this week at Bitten By the Bug 2 our theme is for Mom's.  We want to see cards with flower vases or bouquets.
I started with this fun vase full of flowers from Kate's ABCs and added on the letters form the same cart to complete my card. Of course I thought my Mom deserved a little sparkle as well.
For the base of the card I used an edger to tear a piece away. I love the paper I had in my collection and when I tore it i felt it looked even better. Added another torn piece to the inside as well.  I hope you get a chance to join us this week.

Supplies:
- Kates's ABCs Cricut Cartridge - all cuts on card.
