Essential

Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday. It is time for a new challenge with Die Cuttin' Divas and this week it is ANYTHING GOES!! Create along with us and share your fun die cut projects.
I made this notebook to keep in my purse. My family has recently started using essential oils to help balance out our lives and stay healthy. I wanted a place to be able to keep track of tricks and tips or ideas I come across to use with my oils.
I started by covering a simple dollar bin notebook with paper. I selected earth tone colors for my papers and designed the cover images using several different cartridges - I took pieces of different cuts from all over and worked to put them together the way I wanted. I also used the negative cut on the inside of my notebook.
I added the print and cut title to my cover and a little sparkle - to remind me to find my sparkle everywhere I look!! Now I find myself putting notes in there often and checking back on things that we liked or did not.
Have a wodnerful week and stay warm. I hope you get a chance to play along with us at Die Cuttin' Divas and our Anything Goes challenge!!

A New Look for 2017

2017 is going to be a year of change for me in a lot of ways so I thought it was time to make a little bit of a design change to my blog.
After finding a fun blog background on The Cutest Blog on the Block. I started to create a new blog topper using all sorts so fun digital files I had collected over the years.  I love that people are so willing to share their frames and shapes and embellishments so others can create cool things. I do not sell anything or create blog toppers for others so this is just for my blog and for fun.
I created my little tags as well and working on creating a new blog button to share with everyone soon. Thanks for those who visit me often for always being super supportive.  I hope you will keep returning and I hope you like the new look.

Supplies:
- The Cutest Blog on the Block - Nautical Nonsense 3 Column
- Font for Blog title and tags - Rebel

Meeting Eliana

My youngest niece is 2 today.  She is getting so big and her red hair and smile can't help but catch your eye. Even when I first met her I was in love of course. Here is my page from that first meet and greet.
We drove to Minnesota to meet her about a month after she was born. She slept right though all our cuddles, but we got some great photos of all of us loving on her.
For this page I did a fun print out of the baby word collage image and thought the little baby on Doodlecharms would be a fun addition to my page.
Once I had all my fun add-ons the page come together great!!  She may be bigger now, but she will always be one littlest niece.

Supplies:
- Project Life Dreamy Edition cards
- Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge - baby face
- Billionaire Cricut Cartridge - letters for name
- Word Collage Cricut Cartridge - baby collage printed

Snowman Time

Happy Tuesday to everyone. Hopefully winter is treating you well. At Die Cuttin' Divas we are trying to focus on the fun winter can bring for this week's challenge. We want to see your snowflake or snowman projects!
I made this cute snowman card using the snowmen found on the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge. I thought this guy was too fun not to use and when I found the 3 joined together I knew it would make a fun card.
I got rid of the accessories and used the base of the 3 snowmen to create a card. Once I had the base I layered on the cute snowmen until they were dressed for the weather. Of course they needed a little embossing and sparkle o complete their look!
I hope you have an enjoyable week and can join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week. Thanks for visiting.

- Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge - snowman, group of snowmen
- Create A Critter 2 Cricut Cartridge - scarf off mouse

Cricut on Stage - Krazy Kamp part 2

Happy Friday everyone.  Last week I shared the fun t-shirts and desk sign I made for the play I directed at my school. This week I want to share the fun wall display I created to advertise and celebrate the play and all the hard work the actors did.
I love using this wall at school to make displays. It can be hard to find the right colors but with a background it just looks great to display things. For this I used some larger contact type paper to create the base of the wall display.
I figured I would need a lot of trees to make the whole wall display look good so a lot of tress were cut out to place all around the sign as well as the photos on the wall. I used some pop up foam stickers to layer them on the main display and it looked great on the wall.
Thanks so much for stopping by my little crafting corner.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Supplies:
- Campin' Critters Cricut Cartridge - trees, sign base
- Rustler Font

Let it Go (A Visit with Anna & Elsa)

This week at Die Cuttin' Divas we are focusing on the colors blue & silver. We want to see your die cut projects using these two colors.
In my quest to catch up on my memory albums I went looking for the right photos to use for these colors.  It was not a hard choice when these photos popped up. Anna & Elsa work pretty well.

I found some great blue themed cards in my Project Life collection and went about adding different elements to complete the page.
I also found this great outline of Elsa to add on the main card and the "Let it Go" seemed a natural title for these photos. This was our 2nd visit with the Frozen sisters, but this time my daughter was dressed as Elsa so it was just a little more special.
I hope you can join in our Blue & Silver challenge this week at Die Cuttin' Divas.  Have a wonderful week and thank you for visiting.

I'm also joining in these fun challenges this week:
Bitten By the Bug 2 - Snow Much Fun
The Craft Barn: Song Challenge, Let it Snow!
Cut It Up Challenge: It's Snow Fun.

- Blush Edition Project Life - cards

Cricut on Stage - Krazy Kamp

I love directing shows at the middle school where I teach.  I love even more when I can jazz up a set using my Cricut. For the last play we did, Krazy Kamp, I created a t-shirt design for some of the characters to wear on stage.
I used a variety of Cricut cuts to create the image and than I flatten it and use print and cut on iron-on material before putting it on t-shirts. Once I had it on the shirts I thought I should make a matching sign for the desk used in the play. Time to get out the larger mat...
I was very pleased with how well it all turned out without to many troubles.  The shirts and sign both looked great up on stage and were fun to make for the show, one of my favorites.
You can see the shirt and the desk while one character Eve is on the phone during the play!
Next up on stage, Legally Blonde, the musical.  Should be fun and maybe I can use my Cricut again. Have a great day and an enjoyable weekend as well.

Supplies:
- Billionaire Cricut Cartridge - lettering
- Campin Critters Cricut Cartridge - mountain scene, tent badge

Sorry You're Sick Dragon

When I found out that this week's challenge for Die Cuttin' Divas was going to be a dragon challenge I was not sure what to create, until I thought of all the great dragons in the Disney world and this card came to life!!
The Sword in the Stone is a movie I love and one reason is Mad Madam Mim who has a wizards dual with Merlin.  At the end she becomes a dragon, but Merlin infects her with an illness and the dragon gets spots all over.  When I found this image I knew my card would be just right.
A little print and cut and the dragon was ready.  I got to work on the rest of my card and it was ready in no time. I especially liked the addition of the embossing as it matched the red spots on Mim's tummy.
Have a great week and remember to play with these challenge in a way that fits you. Disney tends to be my go to when thinking about creating so find your go to and see what inspires you this week. Have a wonderful day.

Supplies:
- Days and Dates Cricut cartridge - ovals
- Plantin Schoolbook Cricut Cartridge - Sorry
- Phrases Cricut Cartridge - sorry you're sick image without sorry
- Cuttlebig embossig folder - bubbles

A Special Big Sister

My daughter had the best dance big sister last season. They compliment each other so well. When it was time for her birthday I wanted a special gift to remind them of the season.
I found this great mini accordion album inside a tin and it made a great gift card holder/card for the gift. I had so much fun adding fun details to the time and pages of the album.
The above is the cover of the album that goes inside the tin. I used all sorts of fun tools to create this including fun Color Shine sprays.
On the inside pages I added photos, stickers and more to create the look I wanted. This was such fun to create and the birthday girl loved it when we presented it to her. They got matched as big sister/little sister again this year and they could not be a better fit.

Thanks so much for visiting today.  Have a wonderful weekend.

First Sketch of 2017 with Die Cuttin' Divas

Happy New Year to all of the Die Cuttin' Divas out there. It is time for our first challenge of the year and of course as it is the first Tuesday of the year it is also our first sketch challenge of the year. Come play along with us this week and all year.
For this sketch I decided to create a new notebook for my crafting room. I keep all sorts of notes in my book while creating to get measurements right or sketch out ideas.
I covered a simple composition notebook a with a fun polka dot paper. I even added a little pocket on the front cover in order to side simple photo or notes as needed. (this is the full sheet of paper I used so I have a secret inside pattern)
I found the sentiment stamp and I really wanted to use it on this so I found a pocket cut to work with and got to work selecting my papers to complete the sketch.
I am super happy with the turn out and am already filling the notebook up with ideas and plans for upcoming projects. I hope you get a chance to play along with us this week at Die Cuttin' Divas. Thanks for stopping in.
