M & M Visit

The last layout I had to do for my Disney Halloween 2011 Album was a 2 page spread featuring our visit with Micky and Minnie Mouse. We always get some great photos with Disney Photopass photographers and we look forward to being back in Disney soon - when all this craziness goes away.
For this layout I started with paper selection.  I have a bunch of Halloween papers in my stash that have been sitting for years ( I listed them below, but not sure you can get them now). Once I had the papers I played around with the layout until I was happy with the look. This layout actually ended up very different than my original ideas, but I love it.
I  flipped one of these cute M's from the Wall Decor & More Image set in order to make this the way I wanted it and I cut off the swirls by the journaling from the # cut in the same image set.
I am so excited to be back playing with my Cricut again. Wonder how long it will be before I break down and get an Explore Air 2 or a Maker??? Hmmm!

Supplies:
PAPER: DCWV Ghosts & Goblins paper stack, The Paper Studio Jeeper's Creepers paper stack, Project Life Honey and Kiwi edition 4x6 cards

Racing Till The End - Disney Visit 2011

My effort to finish pages is going so well right now.  Anyone else feel  good when an album is completed?  The is one from a Disney trip in 2011 - I love making pages with only 1 photo on them  and these 2 ended up going together - even if that wasn't the plan at the start.
I am using a lot of basic Cricut cuts on my layouts right now.  I have to get back into the groove before I start with all the fancy layering again, but I love what the die cuts look like on the page.
I am learning to print onto my Project Life Cards and it reminded me that I can print onto most scrapbook paper as well for my journal sections. (Plus it feeds into my font obsession).

Have a great day.

Shared in the following challenges for fun:
The Creative Crafters - Challenge 29 Anything Goes

Supplies:
- Cricut Racing Club Badge - took only the pieces of the cuts I wanted
- Rancho font on printed journal sections.

Disney Memories 2011

I am back in my craft space enjoying creating again and am cranking out some fun pages.  I picked a nearly finished album and went to work on the last few layouts.  I am happy to say Disney 2011 trip is finished.  I will share the creations the next few days.
I choose a simple color set from the patterned paper and added circle backings to my images. I cut out a simple camera image for the bottom of the photo area. Once I had the photos ready I wanted something extra so I made the hanging banners using my square punch.

Supplies:
Mickey Mouse & Friends Mega Paper Pad
Creative Memories Square Punch & Circle Cutter
Cricut - CTHM Artbooking 8x6 Snapshots Mini Album (camera cut)

World of Hearts Window

It has been almost a year and a half since my last blog post. I have not been crafting very much in that time and when I do create it is mostly for quick tags or school projects. As I got busy with work and a teenager my craft room/office became sort of a dumping ground for stuff.

Fast forward to Spring 2020 and COVID 19.  I am stuck in my home and that made me see right away it was time to clean up the space and get my crafting mojo going again. What a better way to start than a window full of hearts.
When my daughter and I saw people start to do this we knew we wanted to.  We spent time talking about what we wanted and coming up with some drawings for our ideas first. We also had to select the words in the styles we wanted (Amazingly we did not fight at all during this)
Once we had our plan I got everything cut for us. I actually made a plan in Design Space for us. When everything was ready we start putting things up in the window.  It was a lot of work to get things where we wanted, but when it was all over we were really happy with how it turned out.

It feels great to be back in my craft space and I plan on firing up the Cricut more during this time.  I have missed being in the space and creating fun things. Please stay safe and enjoy your time with family right now.
