After a long week working on the musical at work (which went wonderfully) I came home last night very late, very tired and very sick - sore throat and head cold! BUT, I also came home to this box:
What is it? Well, I bought the Silhouette Cameo and it has arrived.
Despite being all stuffed up and a little hazy from lack of sleep and the busy week, you know I had to take it out and play with it just a little bit.
Getting it all set-up was super easy and you can not imagine how light the machine is until you hold it yourself. I was a little worried about where the cord spots were located, but in the end the cord to my computer hangs right in front without getting in the way.
I had to try it out and the first thing I did was cut a font right off my computer: My favorite font, Tingle Institute, which I got from, Kevin and Amanda.com. I spelled out my full name inside of a square I had already placed on the mat, as well as the simple flower design that comes with the machine and....
I am so so so excited to be able to cut fonts off my computer this way and I have a feeling I will find alot of others things to love about my new toy!! I am not getting rid of Cricuts (way to much invested), but it is exciting to have the Cameo on my table and I am excited to learn more slowly.
Happy Weekend to all!
It finally came! I'm looking forward to seeing what you make with it. Just the idea of cutting any font at all is exciting! Have fun!
