I decided the sketch would make the perfect cover for some special books I was making. - especially once I flipped it on its side.
I started with some light chip board and covered it with some fun print. You just need to wrap your board like a present and cover the seems with a rectangle cut. Once it was all set I laid down the base of the sketch.
I found a fun car shape and road trip label and created them using coordinating papers. I added the girls' initials to the license plate as an extra touch.
I needed these print and cut circles to add the date as well as finished off the sketch.I also created some fun inside journal and activity pages for them. There are so many great ideas out there that I pieced together what I liked for mine. I made cross word puzzles, scavenger hunts and more.
All that was left was to punch the hole and cinch it all together. That was a little harder due to the large size so I used to sets of 10 holes to create my binding.
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit. I am sure the girls are having a great time with their grandparents. I hope you get a chance to play with this fun sketch this week at Die Cuttin' Divas.
