Terrible Blogger

I feel like I have become a terrible blogger.  I had post almost everyday this summer and now I find myself not getting them in weekly it seems...which is funny because I am creating fun projects often, but sometimes it is a choice between crafting and blogging I guess. I hope my fans are still with me and enjoying holiday craft making and joy!  I look forward to sharing some of these backed up projects with you very soon.
For now a simple creation I made for my cousin as a center piece of a poster she was making about herself as nurse.  I had fun cutting this out from the drawing she sent me.

Cuts:
Celebrate with a Flourish: sun
Simply Sweet: hearts (linked with Gypsy)
Designer's Calendar: baby
Cross and Star of David from the Silhouette store

Elf on Shelf Letter for Cricut FANatics

Today I have the joy of creating for the Cricut FANAtics blog.  It is that time of year when our Elf returns to us to visit and check up on us.  Our elf, Conner, sure has a great time when he visits...
Climbing the blinds
A joyride in Barbi's convertible
Building a snowman with Jacob last year.
He has already been sneaking around my craft room.  Check out the letter he left for my daughter to get her thinking about his arrival.  It is over at Cricut FANatics. Here is a sneak...

A Smile Each Day: Mini-album

The font for Lucas is called Janda Curly Girl Chunky
One of my coworkers took the first trimester off from work to be with her adorable new son.  She returned to work last week and it was not easy for her to be away.  I wanted her to have something that she could look at and smile everyday so I created this mini-album for her.
I started with a Tim Holtz 6x6 Grungebook and cut paper from the DCWV Snapshot Stack to cover each page. I love the colors on this stack and how great it looked with some tape from my growing collection. On many pages I just used the paper as is, but I had to add some of the fun embellishments as well. I loved the Polaroid cut outs above.
The way these pennants (from the Snapshot Stack) looked on the page were also fun. I added some silver disks using my I Rock and they turned out just great. The opposite page has a photo of her son sleeping so this cut from Wall Decor and More was the perfect touch.
I also wanted to have some stamps on some of the pages. so I went to my Pink By Design stash and selected a few.  This is my favorite of the pages with a stamp on it. The stamp is from the Rain or Shine set. Here are a few more photos and some details.
The Hearts are off Designers Calendar & the font for the Mommy is Acknowledgement .
The Red Polka Dot tape is from trendy Tape and the stickers were in my collection.
Love this paper stack and the fun things you can cut out to use.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  This week I have my post for Cricut FANactics on Wednesday and some much needed time off to celebrate Thanksgiving and relax...in my craft room. Have a wonderful Monday all.

Drama Board Redo

Last fall I created a new display board for the Drama Club for our Back to School Fair. Over the summer they did a lot of construction and moving in my area of the building and the fun board went missing.  I quickly created this new board for our fair this year.
I really love the way the gold looks on the back board. I cut the titles using one of my favorite Cricut fonts, Billionaire. I cut them large so often did not weld the letters for the cutting process, but they looked so good when glued down together.
I also cut a bunch  of these pretty photo corners off the Cricut Craft Room Photo Corners choice. I love all the curves and details in this cut.

The final touch was this fun 12x12 paper from the DCWV Performance stack.  It is the perfect place to put photos or show updates. I added the needed information to the two gold blocks and was ready for our night.  Now as we get closer and closer to auditions for this year's show I am excite to add more news to the board for students to see in the hallway.

Butterfly Frame

This summer I made a pretty frame for my daughter and a bunch for my co-workers, but I never created one for myself. I figured the time had come to make myself one and when I saw this pretty butterfly paper I was ready to go.
The frame is a leftover gift from our 8th Grade dance at the school I teach at and I simply covered it with the paper I wanted and used a matching ribbon to cover the edges.
In order to cover the corners where the ribbon meets I select to cut butterflies from the Hannah Montana Cricut Cartridge.

The final touch was this sweet quote from the same paper stack that I found the butterfly paper. The stack is by Recollections (Michael's) and is called Today - Tomorrow - Forever. I cut around the edges and added it to the final corner of my frame.  A little bit of bling added with some Stickles and my frame was all set...now to find the perfect photo for it. Hope you are having a wonderful week and as it gets colder you can think of spring a little bit today.

Happy Halloween Treats Bags 2

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope everyone got just the right mix of tricks and treats on Halloween.  I so enjoyed crafting for Halloween this year. We attended a fun Halloween party last week and I wanted some simple treat bags for all the ghosts and goblins so I made some simple bags using these fun print and cut label by Echo Park and my Cameo.
First I selected the labels and while they printed and cut I started punching my brown page bags with an EK Success punch. I trimmed off the top of the bags before punching.
Once the bags were punched and the labels ready I selected some fun backing papers and placed the labels right on top of those simple corner rounded rectangles. The bags were all ready to be filled with treats.
I used a little floss to tie the bags at the top and away we went to our party.  I meant to post these bags on Halloween, but time got away from me this week with all sorts of things going on.  Hope everyone had a great and spooky day.
