Easter Towel Bunny

Have you ever need a quick Easter basket idea?  Maybe for friends joining you or new little ones in your family?  Well let's face it - head to Pinterest and you will find so many great ideas.  Last year,  I stumbled onto the bunny towel basket and tried it and again this year made one for my cousins son who will be at Easter with us this year!
I bought the towels and googles on sale (larger towels work best as you roll them up) and because this was the main gift only added la few Easter treats inside them..
Now the magic touch for me was finding these bunny tail pins at a 5 Below store. I was thinking about creating a tail somehow with paper, but while shopping I found these pins and they were perfect.  In the end they were a big hit and here's hoping that once again are this year.

Thanks for visiting! Have a Happy Easter tomorrow.

Escape Artist

Coming to the end of Spring Break makes me think about things we do to occupy our time during breaks from school or just for fun any day at all.

My daughter used to pretend she was an escape artist.  I would be working in my office and turn around and find her all wrapped up in these "chains' and just had to smile at her. Sometimes she would be on the ground trying to get out and we wold just giggle at each other when we caught each other's eyes.

I snapped these photos right after she stood up one day. She wasn't happy when I did, but yesterday when I was creating this little page she was happy to have the memory back.

I have gotten better at cutting my 4x6 photos and putting them into more than one pocket on my Project Life spreads. I have not gotten better and selecting the cards I want to use in the pockets on my pages, but that is because I have far too many(it is the paper hoarder in me).  I decided to go for the first  card I found and liked when I opened the box - That made it easier (this time).  This cards is from the Jade Collection.

When I searched for the word escape in my Cricut library, this one popped up form the Life is a Beach collection.  It had a large leaf attached to it, but I sliced it out and trimmed off the extra by the first "e'.
I am pleased with this little album insert to capture a moment I really love and a memory I know I will look back on fondly.  Thanks for stopping by my craft space today.  I made it through the whole week - a post a day and have many more projects ready to share moving forward!!  Have a wonderful weekend.

Supplies:
- Project Life - Jade Edition cards

Across the Miles

I have seen cards and pillows and all sorts of things with this idea on it and wanted to make cards like it for myself and a friend who are both missing people right now.
It is a super simple concept, but one that needs to be personalized with the states needed.  Cutting out the states needed and linking them together with simple pen work was fast and easy.
The sentiment was a simple print and cut - one of my favorite things to do on cards now so I do not need a stamp or small letters to glue on. What an enjoyable crafting week it is so far.  Thanks for visiting my craft happy place.

Supplies:
- 50 States Cricut Collection - IL, TX, TN outlines (minus capital stars in cuts)
- A Child's Year Cricut Collection - font
- Plantin Schoolbook - hearts

Eastersaurus

I got my final Easter card made yesterday.  I made fun cards for each of my 3 nieces and sent them off.  This one is for my littlest niece who is currently in love with all thing dinosaur.  That explains this totally fun card...
I used the same bunny ears  I used on my previous Minnie Mouse card only this time they went on top of a cute dinosaur. I found the eggs in a different Cricut set and chopped off the bunny that is attached to  them before putting them on my card.
Little touches of embossing and a message form the Eastersaurus finished off a fun card and all got put into the mail this morning!!  A happy Easter to all.
I am adding this Easter card to one of my favorite challenge blogs:

Supplies:
- Stretch Your Imagination Cricut Collection - egg chain minus bunny
- 3 Birds on Parade Cricut Collection - bunny ears
- Create A Critter - dinosaur
- various embossing folders

Inside Out

One of my families favorite movies is Inside Out. We were very excited to go see it and had been eagerly awaiting the release. We got lucky and had the chance to  go to a special event before the movie officially came out.
We got special badges and after the movie there was a special Q&A live feed with Amy Poehler and the director. Very cool to get your tweeted questions answered.
I had to put together a special bag  for my album to honor how much fun we had together. Gotta love a .png file to get that title just right. Hope you have a Joy filled day!! Thanks for visiting.

Supplies:
- Project Life Happy Edition Solid color 4x6 cards
- Inside Out .png file for title

Minnie Bunny

Monday is here, but I am on Spring Break so  I got to sleep in and spend time in my craft room to make some fun projects I am going to share with you this week as I return to my blog with a vengeance (or something like that!)  Here is Easter card number 2.
This one is for my soon to be 5-year-old niece (who, if I admit, is the most like me - which means she is going to be a handful for my sister!!!) They just did a Disney trip attached to their Spring break so I thought she would love this cute Minnie Mouse card.
I used some fun color splash paper and Color Shine Spray to get this great pink polka dotted card base. Love how those sprays go one and rub into the paper.
I hope you have an enjoyable day. Thanks for stopping by my little blog (feels so great to have my craft mojo back)!

Easter Bunny

Happy Sunday all. We are one week from Easter so I wanted to make some cards for my nieces to get in the mail early this week. This one is for my oldest niece.
She is my sister's first child and we share a birthday month. She is a curious girl so I thought she would like this little bunny looking at the butterfly.
I found the piece of embossed paper on this card in my stash of paper from another project or a practice session embossing an liked the color so it worked out well. I added a little sparkle and some chalk polka dots as well because I knew my niece would like that too.
Of course I needed to add an Easter wish on the inside as well. Now it is all set and ready to mail out.
Thanks for stopping by to visit.

Linking up to these challenges with this card (Love a fun challenge!)

Unicorn Birthday Bag

Spring time is upon us (even at 39 degrees outside) and I am starting Spring Break in my craft space.  I took some time during a snow day a few weeks ago and cleaned my space head to toe, left to right and up and down knowing it would be waiting for me when break came and I had time to enjoy it.  I got started with a cute gift bag for a girl who loves all things unicorns and Paris right now.
I started with the backing paper that my daughter selected from a stack called C'est La Vie and than we searched and found a simple png file to use for the unicorn on top.
I wasn't feeling the unicorn color and felt it needed some sparkle so we tested a couple different Color Shine sprays on the paper and selected the gold one to make this unicorn matched the polka dots on the paper. The final touch was cutting on the birthday girl's name and adding it on.

I welcome back into my space and  welcome back  to my blog.  Hoping to share something new everyday this week while I am on break and have set aside time to play in my craft space again after some time away.

Supplies:
- Lobster Two font - for the name
- Color Shine Spray Heidi Swapp - Gold
- C'est La Vie paper stack by Recollections
