Are You a Good Witch or a Bad Witch?

Lions, and tigers and bears, oh my! This week at Die Cuttin' Divas we are celebrating and being inspired by The Wizard of Oz. Create a project with a lion, tiger or bear (or all 3) or one inspired by this classic film. I decided to pull out one of my favorite quotes from the film as inspiration.
"Are You a Good Witch or a Bad Witch?
I found this adorable witch cut on the Wrap it Up Cricut cartridge and the rest just came together in my head.
The title was created by welding an oval over this crazy skeleton cut in the Silhouette Studio and than printing and cutting my saying to layer behind it. I am so glad I can use cuts in many ways.
I am so going to be watching Wizard of Oz this week and hopefully you will be crafting projects inspired by the film. Thanks for joining us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week.

Challenge #225 Back to School
This week we want to see your school themed projects. Here is the card I made.
For my project this week I created a simple card for a friend's daughter who is starting school this week. She was a little nervous so they have been telling her to "Be Brave" for awhile.

I hope we both have a great first day and I hope you will join us at FCCB this week with your Back to School projects.

Field Trip

Happy Friday everyone. I am officially back to work and my students will arrive on Monday. Today we will be discussing some possible field trips for the year and it reminded me that I have not shared this Project Life spread yet.
Over Spring Break in April we went to the Science & Industry Museum for the day. We had a blast exploring space, watching the chick hatchery and making a toy while learning about industry and production.
I had some fun before printing out my photos and did a cute photo collage of us as Astronauts.
For these 2 pages I used the Project Life Aqua Edition cards -  some wonderful sentiment cards in this edition and added a simple touch to this one with a die cut.
For this title section I used 2 - 4x6 cards and a smaller 3x4 to make the longer title.

I am sure many of you are sending children back to school soon.  I hope you have a wonderful school year.

Supplies:
- Project Life Aqua Edition cards
- SNAP! Studios Pocket Page
- Cursive 101 Cricut Cartridge - Science cut

Be Inspired with Die Cuttin' Divas

How often do you see a project of a fellow crafter or on Pinterest and think - I should make something like that? Well today at Die Cuttin' Divas that is what we want you  to do. This weeks challenge is to create a project inspired by a Pinterest post or a project from a fellow crafter.
This card was inspired by the pretty card below that I pinned from Pink Paislee a while back and what I loved was the weave like pattern with all the different papers.
When looking for my inspiration for this weeks challenge I thought I could recreate this pattern with washi tape and that is where I started.
I admit getting the tapes straight took a few attempts, but in the end I was super happy with the fun bright colors of this pattern - plus polka dots are so fun. I added a simple die cut, "School" and pulled in the floss and button ideas on the inspiration card!

Love when I ca grab ideas from others.  So great.  Hope you can join us this week at Die Cuttin' Divas.
Thanks for visiting.

Supplies:
- The First Few Years Cricut Cartridge - School Days ct (minus Days)
- Trendy Tape - all polka dot washi
- Heidi Swapp Interchangeable Stamp

Heidi Swapp, Project Life and ME!!

Happy Friday all. Today I am in my craft room after some time away to get ready for Back to School for my daughter and myself. I can not believe that many are already in school. I have until next Thursday before I start work again so it is time to get some crafting in and I am excited to play with some new fun things.
You may know last year I started working with Project Life. I love how easy it is to get my photo put together to tell our family story, but I also need to add die cuts and stickers and other fun things to make sure the pages are still "ME". That is why the partnership between Heidi Swapp and Becky Higgins Project Life is so so great - it totally recognizes that each crafter is different and celebrates it.

Today I am going to play with my new Heidi Swapp Project Life kits and some other fun tools I have been collecting Heidi Swapp Color Shine. I have had some of the sprays awhile and am now finally getting to use them!

Have a wonderful Friday.

My Favorite Color Combo with Die Cuttin's Divas

Good day to everyone and happy Tuesday. It is time for a new Die Cuttin' Divas challenge and today is all about color and your favorite color combinations. I have so many favorite combos that picking one was hard so when these 3 ribbons were left sitting on my desk I figured - That Will Work!!
I loved the bright colors and the patterns so I went looking for the right papers to match the ribbon and set to work creating a thank you card for my collection (I never seem to have enough of these). I layers the three ribbons on top of a black base and a torn white edge first and went looking for the right die cut.
I found the "many thanks" cut on the Phrases cartridge - one I have not used much - and set off to make it work. I like the small drop shadow on this cut a lot.

I was happy with the color turn out and it is a new favorite. Come join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week and share projects you create with your favorite color combos. A fun prize is awarded every other week to a random winner - maybe it will be you!!!

Supplies:
- Phrases Cricut Cartridge - many thanks
- American Crafts Ribbons - Amy Tangerine
- Fiskars paper edger

Retail Therapy - A Sketch Challenge

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge with Fantabulous Cricut!

Challenge #223 Sketch Challenge

I really liked how simple the sketch was the 3 horizontal strips were perfect for some great washi tapes. That is where I started this card. Once I had the base ready I selected a sentiment as inspiration for a cut.
I think this is such a fun stamp and it gave me the idea for a fun shopping bag right away. My search led me to this fun gift bag on the Birthday bash cartridge.  I had just the right colored paper to match my tapes. The little gem was just a little extra touch.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you will join us at  FCCB this week with this fun sketch.

Just Be You - A Sketch Challenge

Happy Tuesday to all. It is the first Tuesday of August (can you believe it?) and that means it is time for a sketch challenge with Die Cuttin' Divas.
This fun sketch by Carson's Creations was easy to work with (that is one thing I love about her sketches). Once I had selected my theme I was off looking for the right papers. I found what I needed and got to work creating my card base and selected the perfect die cut  for my card.
I have the wonderful Be Inspired stamp set from Craftin Desert Divas and wanted to make a card to remind a great young lady she is beautiful. This mirror cut was just what I was looking for to match the 2 stamps I had selected for the card.
Everything came together well and the finished card was ready to be mailed off after I wrote a simple and short note on the inside.  With back to school so close I wanted to remind her how wonderful she really is.
I hope you can join us for our sketch challenge this week at Die Cuttin' Divas. I love your comments and hope you visit again soon.
