Butterfly Thank You

Last week I bought some 81/2 x 11 paper packs at Micheal's. The color combos in the packages often inspire my cards and that is what happened with this card. When I got the paper home I noticed that I had some decorative tapes that matched the colors. I created the background with the fun embossing layer before breakfast even.
I wasn't sure at first what to put on it, but I selected a butterfly off Live Simply when I was looking at my carts with animals on them.
After getting all the layers of the butterfly together I selected the thank you off the Holiday Cakes cartridge and finished the front off. For the inside I select a stamp I bought my daughter and colored it to match. It made a simple, but not plain inside.
I came to post this card and got distracted by the blogs (of course), but in the process I found out that the challenge at Red Carpet Studio is to use a butterfly on your card. YEAH!!  I love this card and not I get to put it into a fun challenge I love as well. Happy Sunday everyone.  I still have time to play in my craft room today so off I go.

  1. Great card; love that embossing folder!! Is it new? I saw that challenge too, and want to make a card for someone that's recuperating at home after surgery. TFS.

  2. What a cute card! Love the washi tape. Thanks for joining us at Red Carpet Studio Challenge!

  3. Hi LB
I love the embossing folder you used, which one is it?
The card came out great. I love it when paper inspires and when there is a challenge that matches your project!
    Keep on inspiring LB!

    1. The folder is from The paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) Mesh Texture

  4. This is so pretty, inside and out! Love the colors and that embossing folder is awesome. Wish there was a Hobby Lobby close to me.

Inspiration & Smiles from you are so welcomed.
