Today I have a sweet thank you card to share. It started with several ideas given to me from some wonderful challenges going on in blog world. I did not want to let these great challenges pass me by. This week I am working with 4 challenges that I felt would really work together.
1. Cricut 360 Challenge #2: a round, thank you
2. September Ninth: Cool Treats (plus the word sweet)
3. CCCC #23 Wild Card (hosted by More Than Favors)
4. My Creative Time: Throwback Challenge 209: Wild card and embossing
Here is what I created with these fun guidelines:
I picked the fun pattern paper from My Mind's Eye: Penny Lane Stack and cut the doily card from Wild Card. I decided to use the hide/contour button to get rid of the inside cut-out pieces. Next, I cut two different size circles using Plantin Schoolbook (wanted to add another cart to my list for the month). I did this for the inside as well (not pictured).
I needed a cool treat to meet the challenge guidelines at September Ninth - I picked the ice cream cone from Simply Charmed. I wanted the cone to have that criss-cross effect so I used my new Pinstripe Embossing folder in my trusty Cuttlebug and put the base of the cone in twice and different angles to get the look I was going for and than put it all together.
I really like the lettering on Wild Card so I went back and used the "thanks for everything cut" again using the hide/contour button on my Gypsy to get rid of everything except the thanks. I than used the font on Wild Card to cut out "a sweet". Put it all together and I have my sweet thanks card.
Thanks for stopping by my blog for a visit today! I hope you are having a fun weekend.
